Adventures by Disney provides premium family vacations to various amazing locations around the world. Families are taken on expeditions that feature cultural and premium activities with Disney Adventure Guides.

As Lead Product Designer I was responsible for driving the overall user experience and visual design of the Marketing Website. During that time I lead a responsive design overhaul. The team was tasked with maintaining a premium but friendly aesthetic, while presenting this complicated product in an intuitive experience regardless of the user's device. After the responsive launch, Adventures by Disney saw a significant increase in bookings and qualified lead generations. 

 

Homepage

 

The homepage was redesigned to introduce guests to the concept of guided world travel with Disney. Working with content strategists, copy-writers, and junior designers, we created an editorial style experience that educated and inspired guests about this product.

Trip Detail Page

Highlights Tab

 

Using research data to better understand what was important to our guests, the experience begins on the highlights tab so that guests can get a broad view of the trip.

Itinerary Tab

 

If a guest is interested in a trip, they can dive deeper into the itinerary details to see a day-by-day breakdown of the trip. While the original land based vacation tours contained a fixed itinerary; River Cruising vacations feature itinerary activity options that guests can choose from to create a more personalized experience.

Rates & dates Tab

 

Trip pricing is dependent on the departure date, so we looked to create a list that was transparent and easy to understand. The River Cruising vacation options also adjust pricing based on the room type.

Rates & Dates Tab - Deck Floor Plans Modal

The River Cruising trips also required additional information about the ship's floor plans and accommodations. We created a detail modal to allow guests to learn more about the room options and find the perfect room for their vacation.

Region Colors

With over 35 Destinations around the globe available to explore with Adventures by Disney, we established a color system to group the trips by region. This color system is used throughout the site to help identify the location of the various trips.

 

 

The Trip Selector

To better allow guests to discover all the offerings from Adventures by Disney, the Trip Selector uses images, videos, and snapshot information to provide a high-level overview for each trip. By filtering destinations by regions, seasons, and trip types; guests are able find the perfect vacation for their family.

Specialty Information

 

We also added a feature to provide overview information for the various regions and trip types. This allowed for our direct marketing partners to highlight specific locations and trip types without the need for separate specialty pages.
