Live out your Star Wars dreams in the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park

In anticipation for the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land at the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort, I was asked to do an enhancement of the land’s marketing page.

 

Enhanced Marketing Detail Page

 

To create a more immersive experience, I expanded on our existing template to include an extended background that brought guests from space to the land and various promotional modules. As the guest scrolls, the background transitioned from stars to atmosphere and sky. I also designed a series of ship animations to fly through the experience.

 
 
 
 

Unfortunately, the ships were not included as part of the final build due to timing and development constraints.

 
 

 

Find Your Force Alignment

Concept feature

As part of the initial planning, we designed a fullscreen experience where guests could answer questions to determine their alignment in the Force. Based on your results, the marketing page was to then change it’s theming to reflect your alignment. Ultimately, due to timing constraints, we decided cut this feature and create a default experience that was more aligned to the story of the land.
